Subcommittees reveal draft recommendations at Arkansas School Safety Commission meeting



All five subcommittees presented draft recommendations at the Arkansas School Safety Commission meeting on Tuesday. Washington County Sheriff Tim Helder is the chair of the Law Enforcement and Security subcommittee. His committee’s first recommendation was armed school resource officers on every campus in each school district in Arkansas.He also recommended a hybrid approach, with armed Commissioned School Security Officers to support the SROs.
