COVID today: Hospital count rising again

The Arkansas Health Department’s COVID-19 report, after being out of full commission Sunday, has resumed.

Here are the latest numbers:

Total cases: 896,275, an increase of 574 from the number through Sunday. That means the number Sunday, previously unavailable, was up by more than 700 from the Saturday number.

Active cases: 15,581, down from 16,791 on Saturday.

Deaths: 11,673, no change from the last count given.

Hospitalizations: 413, up from 397 on Sunday.

In ICU: 77, up from 73 on Sunday.

On ventilators: 15, down from 17 on Sunday

Standard disclaimer: Because of the rise in home testing, with results not forwarded to the Health Department, the numbers are believed to undercount state cases, perhaps dramatically.
